Gladys Warren worked as a civil service worker for the Los Angeles Department of Health Services for 36 years. Her experience was in Health Infomation Management, retiring as a Senior Systems/Coordinator. She was a member of the Los Angeles Department of Health Service's Evaluation Committee given the task of selecting the software and applications for the Los Angeles County Electronic Health Record (EHR) and implementation.
She retired in 2010 to continue to care for her elderly father who served in the U.S. Army during World War II and got her Associate's Degree in Ministry. As her father's care provider and fiduciary, Gladys gained valuable experience dealing with the veteran's administration maze process for veteran's benefits. This situation inspired her in 2013 to start Step In Reach Up, a faith-based non-profit (501c3) to help fulfill the heart-felt needs of our veterans and families. In 2014, Gladys became a VA Accredited Claims Agent. Her mission is to help families: increase their income, preserve assets, and receive benefits in the Inland Empire of California. She is also a member of the National Care Planning Council.
